Tips when using your Mounjaro pen

Important information

It's important to use and administer your medication correctly. Find out how with these seven points to remember.

• 4 doses per KwikPen = 4 weeks of treatment.
• It is normal to have liquid left over after 4 doses. The KwikPen will not allow you to inject this (priming is required for your KwikPen.)
• Speak to your doctor or TerryWhite Chemmart Pharmacist about which needles are suitable for you. Needles are not included with the Mounjaro multi-use KwikPen or single-use vial.
• Dispose of used needles safely into a yellow plastic sharps container.
• If you no longer need this medicine or it is out of date, take it to any pharmacy for safe disposal.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date.
• Never reuse your needles as this may lead to blocked needles, contamination, infection and inaccurate dosing.

Storing your pen

• The pen you are currently using can be kept at room temperature (up to 30° C) for up to 30 days and up to 21 days for the single-use vial.
• Unused pens should be kept in the refrigerator between (2°C – 8°C). Do not put it in the freezer, or allow it to freeze.
