TerryWhite Chemmart Povidone-Iodine Concentrated Sore Throat Gargle is concentrated and must be diluted before use. Dilute 1 mL to 20 mL with water using the measure provided and gargle for 30 seconds (or alternatively add 20 drops to 20 mL water). Spit out the solution after gargling. Do not swallow. Repeat every 3-4 hours if necessary.
• Do not swallow the product or the diluted solution. • Severe sore throat accompanied by fever, headache, nausea or vomiting or any sore throat persisting for more than 2 days may be serious. In such cases, consult a doctor. • Not to be used in known hypersensitivity to iodine or povidone. • Do not use if known to have thyroid disease including goiter, thyroid nodules, or other thyroid diseases (especially elderly patients) as there may be risk of developing hyperthyroidism from the administration of large amounts of iodine. It should not be used for 4 weeks prior to treatment of cancer of the thyroid. • Do not heat prior to application. • Do not use if neck seal is broken. Not recommended for use during pregnancy or whilst breast-feeding. If local irritation, redness, swelling or sensitivity develops discontinue use. Keep out of the reach of children.
