TerryWhite Chemmart® Paracetamol Extra is used for temporary relief of pain and discomfort associated with: headache/tension headache, migraine headache, osteoarthritis, arthritis, cold & flu symptoms, period pain, muscular aches, sore throat and tooth ache. Reduces fever.
Adults & Children over 12 years: Take 2 tablets every 4-6 hours with water as required (maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours).
Do not use: • if you are allergic to paracetamol, caffeine, or any of the ingredients in this product. • if using other medicines containing paracetamol or caffeine. • for children below 12 years of age. • for more than 48 hours for children aged 12-17 years, except on medical advice. • if pregnant, except on medical advice. • if the packaging use by date has expired. • for more than a few days at a time in adults except on medical advice. Stop use and tell your doctor immediately if you have an allergic reaction, shortness of breath or wheezing after taking TerryWhite Chemmart® Paracetamol Extra. These reactions are very rare. Check with your doctor before use if you: • have liver or kidney problems. • are taking warfarin (a medicine used to thin blood). • are breastfeeding. Keep to the recommended dosage If an overdose is taken or suspected, ring the Poisons Information Centre (13 11 26); or go to the hospital immediately even if you feel well because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage if left untreated. CAUTION: Limit the use of caffeine containing products (including tea and coffee) when taking these tablets. One dose of TerryWhite Chemmart® Paracetamol Extra contains 130 mg of caffeine - this is about 2 cups of instant coffee. Caffeine may cause sleeplessness if it is taken up to several hours before going to bed.
