The SOVA 3D Night Teeth Grinding Guard is ideal for anyone looking for a convenient custom-fit solution, is a first time night guard user or if you are fitting the guard on someone else (eg. child or dental patient). Due to the ease of fitting, the SOVA 3D is also recommended for people with a sensitive gag reflex. The preformed shape makes customising the SOVA 3D to the exact fit of your teeth that much easier.
CUSTOM FIT: Simply place the SOVA 3D Night Guard in a bowl of hot water to start the custom-fit process at home. The SOVA guard will become pliable, so that you can easily mould your night guard to the exact custom fit for your teeth. The guard can be warn on the top or bottom teeth or both to allow for individual preferences. REMOULDABLE: Didn’t get the fit right the first time? Simply place the SOVA 3D back into hot water; it will return to its original preformed shape. The SOVA guards are remouldable up to 20 times, so they are also ideal for anyone progressing through their aligner treatments. DENTAL WARRANTY: Your teeth deserve an insurance policy as well, so each SOVA Night Guard comes with a 120 day durability warranty. 1. Wash your hands and the material with mild soap and water. 2. Heat water to about 170°F (76°C) for example in a kettle, on the stove top or in a microwave oven. Immerse the night guard in hot, but not boiling water until the material becomes soft and pliable (30-60 seconds). Once soft, use a non-plastic utensil to carefully lift your SOVA Night Guard out of the water. 3. DO NOT let the softened night guard fold on itself – the material will glue together, making it difficult to reshape. 4. Holding the night guard with both hands, carefully insert into your mouth. Make sure the back inner ridge does not fold in on itself. Once the guard is in the proper position, close your lips over the guard and put your tongue onto the roof of your mouth. Bite down gently – do not make deep teeth marks. 5. Gently create suction by swallowing until the material has hardened to a snug, perfect fit. Keep the SOVA Night Guard in your mouth for 3-5 minutes to allow the shape to set. After the night guard is set, it should be snug enough that it won’t fall off your teeth when you open your mouth. 6. Unhappy with your fit? Every SOVA Night Guard is remouldable up to 20 times. Simply place your formed SOVA Night Guard back in the hot water, let it soften and start again.
Do not attempt to fit the night guard by yourself if you have braces (must be fitted by your orthodontist). Avoid situations where inhalation or swallowing of the night guard could occur. Do not suck in air over enthusiastically, as this creates a fit that is too tight. Do not bite down too hard, create deep bite marks in the night guard, stretch or enlarge the perforations in any way. This may thin out the material and decrease the strength of the night guard. Do not use an improperly fitted night guard. Do not use with artificial dentures. Do not overheat the night guard or expose to open flames. Protect your SOVA from hot environments, such as hot car dashboards or direct sunlight. Be careful if you use nail polish or artificial nails since the material can stick to these surfaces. If you experience pain while using your SOVA Night Guard, please see your dentist before continuing use. Do not use if you have loose or wiggly teeth, loose filling, loose caps or cavities with no fillings. Do not use if you have sores in your mouth or bleeding gums. Do not clean the night guard in a dishwasher or washing mashing, since this could lead to deforming and weakening of the material. Follow the instructions regarding cleaning and storage. Do not disassemble or try to repair the SOVA Night Guard. There are no user-serviceable parts in the SOVA Night Guard. Disassembling a SOVA Night Guard will void the warranty. Regularly inspect the SOVA Night Guard for damage and immediately stop using if damage is discovered. Do not use the SOVA Night Guard as an athletic mouthguard. Improper use may cause health risks or decrease the effectiveness of the protective properties of the night guard.
