JELONET paraffin gauze dressing is designed for use on minor burns and scalds.
JELONET Paraffin Gauze Dressing is a sterile dressing made from open weave gauze. It is a conformable(1) burn dressing, which is designed to soothe and protect the wound(2). • JELONET Paraffin Gauze Dressing is designed to soothe and protect, and allows the wound to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing • JELONET Paraffin Gauze Dressing is conformable and can be cut to suit wound size • JELONET Paraffin Gauze Dressing has a long history of clinical use. • JELONET Paraffin Gauze Dressing can be used in conjunction with MELOLIN◊ • Low Adherent Absorbent Wound Dressing
Step 1: Wash hands before and after treating the wound. Step 2: Gently clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin. Step 3: Remove dressing from pouch. Step 4: Remove and dispose of both backing papers from the dressing, taking care to handle the dressing by the edges only. Note: Excess jelly will remain on the backing papers. Step 5: Gently place the dressing over the wound in a single layer. Step 6: If necessary cover the dressing with an absorbent secondary dressing. Step 7: Secure the dressing(s) with a bandage or tape.
Seek medical advice immediately for all serious wounds and burns or if redness or discomfort occurs. JELONET Dressings are a single use only product. Device should not be re-used. Cross-contamination can occur and the therapy may be ine?ective. Opening the dressing pouch compromises the sterile barrier, therefore any unused dressing should not be retained for application at a later date. Avoid contact with eyes as may cause irritation. Dressing contains flammable substance: Para?in. Avoid direct contact with naked flames or sources of ignition.
