If you’ve had unprotected sex, the condom broke, or if you forgot to take your regularcontraceptive pill, you can help protect yourself from an unplanned pregnancy bytaking EllaOne, the most effective emergency contraception pill (morning after pill).1,2EllaOne is most effective when taken as soon as possible, but it can be used up to five days (120 hours) after unprotected sex.The emergency contraceptive pill works by inhibiting or delaying ovulation. This means that sperm are unable to fertilise the egg and a possible pregnancy is prevented. If you are already pregnant,however, then the emergency contraceptive pill won’t interrupt or impact your pregnancy. Take one tablet orally as soon as possible, but within 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. Can be taken with or without food. Emergency contraception within 120 hours (5 days) of unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure
Do not use: • if you are already pregnant. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you are unsure. • more than once during the same menstrual cycle. Consider using other contraceptive methods before sex. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before use if you: • are taking any other medicines • have any medical conditions • are breastfeeding. Contains sugar (lactose). Read the enclosed package leaflet before use.
Store below 25°C. Store in the original packaging to protect from moisture. Keep the blister in the outer carton to protect from light.
