If reddening or sensitisation occur discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Do not use the dressings to secure other medical devices to the patient, due to the gentle adhesive used. ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE Dressings should not be used for pressure injury prevention unrelated to medical devices. Care should be taken when using the dressings under medical devices near the nose and mouth, where moisture can build up and affect adherence, dressing movement. ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE Dressings are single-use only and should not be re-used as cross-contamination or infection may occur and the dressing may be ineffective. The scale on the pouch is for guidance to assist dressing selection only, and care should be taken to avoid cross-contamination. ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE Dressings are for healthcare professional use and for use by patients under the direction of a healthcare professional.

1. Cleanse the application site. Ensure surrounding skin is clean, dry and free from excess hair. 2. Select appropriate dressing size. 3. Start to remove the protector material from ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE Dressing and anchor the adhesive side of the dressing to the skin. 4. Smooth the dressing over the application site, removing the remaining protector material and ensure that the dressing is adhered all around the application site. ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE Dressings can be left in place without the need for secondary retention. 5. ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE Dressings can be cut, which help to dress awkward areas of the body. Cutting the dressing will compromise the bacterial barrier and showerproof properties of the dressing. Always use aseptic technique when cutting the dressing. Ensure any exposed foam areas are covered with an appropriate film dressing taking care not to cover the entire dressing. 6. ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE Dressings can be used in conjunction with INTRASITE? Gel for necrotic or sloughy wounds. Observation when used for medical device related pressure injury prevention: frequently inspect the skin for pressure damage by lifting back one corner, inspecting, and then repositioning the dressing. Frequency of change During the early stages of treatment, ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE Dressings should be inspected frequently. ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE dressings can be left in place for up to 7 days depending on the condition of the application site and the surrounding skin or until exudate is visible and approaches to within 0.5cm/3/16in. of the edge of the dressing pad, whichever is sooner. The decision of when to change should be dependent upon clinical assessment and local protocols under the guidance of a healthcare professional
