Your winter shopping list (for vitamins and minerals!)
Our body never stops, so needs a wide range of vitamins and minerals to function properly. The best way to do this is by eating a wide variety of food from all food groups – not just a handful of favourites.
Look for these key vitamins and minerals
Vitamins – Vitamin A, B group vitamins (including folate), and Vitamin C, D, E and K
Minerals – Calcium, iodine, iron, zinc, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, selenium
Do I need a supplement? These can help if dietary intake is not sufficient. Talk to your Pharmacist to see if they recommended suitable for you.
