All About Serums
Do you have a skin concern such as dry or dull skin, fine lines, acne, wrinkles, crepey or sagging skin? Then you may have heard of serums!
These are highly concentrated solutions delivering active ingredients deep into your skin to target those pesky concerns.

Why not simply cleanse and moisturise?
You can find active ingredients in your cleanser and moisturiser as well, though serums provide a more powerful dose and efficacy.
This is partly because their solutions are water based with large amounts of very small molecules, meaning they are quickly and deeply absorbed and get to work in your skin efficiently and easily. (Science is amazing!)
Active ingredients we love
Niacinamide (to help even out skin tone)1
Hyaluronic acid (a super hydrator which can improve skin firmness and better the appearance of wrinkles)2
Salicylic acid (penetrates the skin helping dissolve pore-clogging cells),3 and
Vitamin C (an antioxidant helping brighten skin and reduce hyperpigmentation)4
How many serums should I use?
While serums feel light and amazing and it’s tempting to layer on lots, we recommend using two, no more than three in your routine, so they can be more effectively absorbed.
Apply two to three drops to freshly cleansed skin, before heavier products such as moisturiser, makeup and sunscreen.
Some are great for morning and evening while others are best applied before going to bed. Your Pharmacist can advise on serums for your skin concerns and how to apply these.
